We’re Jason and Gabriella—married partners in life, business, and mushroom obsession. Together, we run MFG Markets: a family-powered, education-focused, and proudly Florida-based medicinal mushroom company serving up powerful wellness with a personal touch.

We’ve spent over 30 years combined in the restaurant world, so serving people is in our blood. A few years ago, Gabriella transitioned out of restaurant management and began working with Mr. Fun Guy, a local mushroom apothecary started by a Navy vet and a professional chef. That’s where the journey began. She immersed herself in the world of functional fungi—studying the medicinal benefits of mushrooms and learning how to help others use them with intention and confidence.

At the same time, Jason—a Navy veteran and full-blown mycology nerd—was already deep in the research trenches. We're talking hours of digging into mushroom studies, neural networks, and how fungi literally communicate underground like the internet of the forest. It didn’t take much convincing for him to get on board.

Now here we are: two former single parents blending a family of five—Aiden, Gavin, Rhyse, Ben, and Zhetda—and one adorable grandson, baby Grayson. We’re still running restaurants full-time, and passionately building MFG Markets on the side. Gabriella brings her background in education (she’s a certified teacher) and a natural gift for connecting with people. Jason brings his expertise in computer science and handles all the behind-the-scenes tech and systems. Together, we’ve built a business that’s not only growing fast—but growing right.

At our farmers market booths, you won’t get a pushy sales pitch. You’ll get real conversation, honest answers, and the kind of guidance that leaves you more informed than when you arrived. Our whole family helps run markets—Jason’s brother, Gabriella’s father, and often even the kids lend a hand. We make all of our own products locally in Port Charlotte, FL using the freshest mushrooms, the cleanest extraction methods, and a serious obsession with purity and potency. Our products work—because we use them ourselves. From Jason managing blood pressure and getting into the best shape of his life, to Gabriella staying focused, managing stress, and—let’s be honest—looking as stunning as ever, these products are part of our everyday lives.
